Myrtle Marie Bond

Myrtle Marie Bond, age 77, of Fairfield, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday June 4, 2011 at 12:30 AM. She was born in Clay County, Kentucky on January 26, 1934 the daughter of Harrison and Maggie (Bowling) Price. Mom never met a stranger. She enjoyed church, singing, shopping and embroidering. On September 27, 1979 she married Odus Bond.

Mom is survived by her husband, Odus Bond; daughters Vickie Van Winkle, Wanda (Herbert) Young, Brenda (Jeff) Kittner, and Charlene (Greg) Helton; a son, Robert J. Lewis; brothers Paul (Charlene) Price and Harrison (Barb) Price; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, as well as one on the way; a special friend, Maddie; her beloved dog Champ; and many more relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Alice; brothers Bill, Gene, Curt and Willie Price; a great-granddaughter, Angel Marie Settels; and a son-in-law, Earl Van Winkle.

Funeral services will be held at Brown-Dawson 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Oley Wilson of Church of God of the Union Assembly officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. "Mom, we will forever love and miss you."
