Myrtle Bowling

Myrtle Bowling, age 82 of Fairfield passed away at Tri-County Extended Care on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 11:46 PM. She was born in Corbin, Kentucky on February 24, 1930 the daughter of Willie and Seretta (Saylor) Jones. Myrtle was a retired press operator at Bright-O and attended Fairfield Church of God and God’s Temple.

She is survived by six daughters, Shirley (Gary) Boggs of Fairfield Township, Charlotte Ann BeCraft of Liberty Township, Gail (Daniel) Emmons of Fairfield Township, Tammy Shipley of Hamilton, Seretta Renee Anders of Hamilton, and Serina (Chip) Luken of Finneytown; a step-son, David (Karen) Bowling of West Jefferson, Ohio; three brothers, Oval "Johnny" (Bertha) Jones of Fairfield Township, Zenith (Cleta) Jones of Kentucky, and Charlie "Bill" Jones of Fairfield; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Joan Anders; and three sisters, Jewell Van Winkle, Willie Mae Cowden, and Teddy Caldwell.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Valerie Trissell of God’s Temple officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
