Myrtle Marie Fields, age 98 of Seven Mile went home to be with the Lord at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield on Monday, February 18, 2008 at 4:50 AM. She was born in Montgomery County on March 9, 1909 the daughter of Jim and Mary (Seifert) Miltenberger. Myrtle was a member of the Tuley Road Church of the Nazarene. On January 17, 1947 in Covington, Kentucky she was married to Wade Fields, and he preceded her in death in 1969.
She is survived by one son, George (Alberta) Bishop of Hamilton; two sisters, Evelyn Simms of Somerville and Helen Null of Seven Mile; one grandson, Michael (Avia-Neta) Bishop of Hamilton; two special nieces, Barbara Truster and Patty Vanderpool; and three nephews, Jimmy Fall, Gail Githens, and Bobby Hounshell. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, James Clifford Bishop; one brother, Horatial Miltenberger; and three sisters, Esther Fall, Pearl Bishop, and Clara Githens.
Funeral services will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Randy Sapp, Pastor of the Tuley Road Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM.
