Myrtle "Mert" Guenthner

Myrtle "Mert" Guenthner, age 63 of Hamilton passed away at her residence on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 11:25 PM. She was born in Hamilton on July 7, 1946 the daughter of George and Florence Parker.

She is survived by two sons, Bradley R. Parker and Scott A. Guenthner, both of Hamilton; five grandchildren, Andrea Asbury, Jordan Lopez, Johnny Petree, Ricky Bowling, and Zach Greco; two brothers, Vernon (Peggy) Parker of Tennessee and Joe (Debbie) Parker of Seven Mile; a sister, Linda Marcum; a son-in-law, Mark Massey of Hamilton; a sister-in-law, Loretta Parker; a niece, Beth Marcum of Hamilton; special friends Rhonda, Kim, and Missy; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Andy Guenthner; a daughter, Jenny Guenthner; a brother, Floyd "Butch" Parker; a devoted nephew, Barry Marcum; and a brother-in-law, Sherman Marcum.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Chaplain Donald Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
