Myrtle J. Bowling

Myrtle J. Bowling, age 89 of Hamilton passed away at her residence on Friday, June 12, 2009 at 8:30 PM. She was born in Powell County, Kentucky on August 5, 1919 the daughter of Garrett B. and Amanda (McRoberts) Hall. Myrtle was a member of Eastern Star #195. On May 1, 1943 in Newport, Kentucky she married Lee Bowling.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Bowling of Hamilton; two daughters, Linda Houston of Hamilton and Sandra Grace Bowling of Phoenix, Arizona; three grandchildren, Victor Scott (Alana) Houston, Katrina Houston, both of Hamilton, and Sterling Streder of Phoenix, Arizona; and four great-grandchildren, Anthony, Brandon, Robbie, Reagan, as well as one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mildred Smith; and a half-brother, Morris West.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
