Nancy Bushman

Nancy C. Bushman, age 87 of Hamilton, passed away at Central Parke Assisted Living, Mason, on Monday, September 15, 2025. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 15, 1938 the daughter of Ernst and Annabelle (Lafann) Horvath. Nancy was a member of St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church. She was employed as an educator for more than forty-five years where she served the Hamilton City Schools, as a teacher, Principal, and Director of Elementary Education, and also ended her career as the Vice Superintendent of Parma City School District in Cleveland. In 1984 she married John M. Bushman Jr. and he preceded her in death in 2008.

Nancy is survived by her niece, Sandra (Randy) Oakes; her nephew, Timothy (Carla) Fike, great nephews, Jon Randall (Kaliegh Kinser) Oakes, Danny (Stephanie) Oakes, and Michael Fike; great niece, Brittney (Freddie) Quick and Madeline Fike; her brother-in-law, Douglas Fike; grandmother to Alec and Maria Bushman; and other relatives and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Janet Fike.

Graveside service will be held at St. Stephen Cemetery, 1314 Greenwood Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Monday, September 22, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Memorial contributions can be made to Hamilton Community Foundation.
