Nellie G. Morris

Nellie G. Morris, age 97 of Hamilton, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. She was born in Irvine, KY on November 3, 1916 to Richard and Elizabeth (Reece) Chaney.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Elmer Morris, who passed away in 1995; two sons, Dr. Marcus Christy, and Phillip Morris; five brothers, Marcus, George, Tracey, Morgan, and Elmer "Joe" Chaney; and two sisters, Ardenia Wise, and Bessie Chaney. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Gail Morris; six grandchildren, Marcus Christy, Michelle Kidd, Pastor Shawn Morris, Jason Morris, Garth Adams, and Karen Sanford; 9 great-grandchildren, Sarah, Robert, Lauren, Alex, Mason, Paul, Lily, Lyle, and Frank; a great-great grandchild, Bryson; sisters-in-law, Marie Chaney, and Sally Morris; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Mark Wurzelbacher officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 9:00 - 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati in her honor.
