Nellie Robinson

Nellie Robinson, age 79 of Hamilton passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospice Unit on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 10:00 PM. She was born in Guilford, Indiana on December 6, 1928 the daughter of Wade and Annie (Darling) Mahaffey. Nellie was employed as a merchandiser at K-Mart for fourteen years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of West Side Baptist Church. On May 17, 1948 in Newport, Kentucky she married Clark Robinson, and he preceded her in death in 1980. She is survived by a son, Clark (Robyne) Robinson of Hamilton; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann (Walter) Horn of Hamilton; a brother, Robert Mahaffey of Hamilton; a sister, Juanita Richardson of Indian Springs; eight grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Wesley and Carl Mahaffey. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Richard Rhodus of West Side Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The family requests memorials to the charity of one’s choice.
