Norman "Bruce" Carmack, age 74 of Hamilton passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 3: 30 AM. He was born in Oxford on October 25, 1936 the son of James Roy Sr. and Anna (Sandlin) Carmack. Bruce was a farmer and amateur historian.
He is survived by five children, John D. (Toi) Carmack, Michael A. (Shelly) Carmack, Sarah Ann Carmack, Norman James Carmack, and Joetta (Goyo) Smith; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Thelma Jean (Miller) Carmack.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Lyle Welty officiating. Cremation will be held. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
