Norman L. "Pickle" Mitchell, Jr.

Norman L. Mitchell, Jr., age 65 of Hamilton passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospice Unit on Sunday, May 27, 2007. He was born in Hamilton on May 31, 1941 the son of Norman L. Sr. and Angelina (Parrotla) Mitchell. An Army veteran, Pickle was a retired employee of Fisher Body and Hamilton Roofing. He was a member of Eagles Aerie #3986.

He is survived by three sons, Norman L. "Little Pickle" (Renee) Mitchell III, Jamie (Jennifer) Mitchell, and Jesse Mitchell; a daughter, Robin; five grandchildren; two brothers, Ronnie (Karen) Mitchell and Gary (Betty) Mitchell; a sister, Sandy (Rex) Fletcher; the mother of his children, Mary Mitchell; and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Ron Stewart of High Street Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
