Oma G. Parks, age 98 of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at her home. Oma was born in Gold Bug, KY, on December 25, 1918 to Rice Watson and Emma (Crowley) Watson.
Oma is survived by by three children; Jerry & Hilda (Sowder) Parks of Hamilton, Betty (Parks) Sowder of Fairfield and Donald & Phyllis (Tussey) Parks of FL; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Parks of 72 yrs. & two sons; Kenneth Parks of Chattanooga & Jesse Parks of Hamilton, one daughter-in-law, Shelba Jean (Helms) Parks of Chattanooga, one son-in-law; Rondal E. Sowder of Fairfield and three grandchildren. She was the last sibling of five brothers & three sisters.
She became a member & was baptized into the Church of God of the Union Assembly by I.B.Bailey in Williamsburg, KY in 1948. Her and her husband moved to Hamilton, OH in 1950 where they lived the rest of their lives & raised five children.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton. Funeral service will be held at Church of God of Union Assembly, on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Brent Sowder officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
