Opal (Ash) Lakes

Opal (Ash) Lakes, age 90 of Homosassa, FL, passed away at residence on Sunday, December 31, 2017. Opal was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 17, 1927 to Aster and Bessie (nee King) Ash.

Opal is survived by her children, Theresa (the late Leroy) Spivey-Davis, Ronald Spivey, and Janelle (Gary) Lakes-Settles; her step son, Rutherford Jerry Lakes; her grandchildren, Tonya (the late Tom) Davis-Regensberger, Melissa (Jeff) Davis-Wright, Gregory Lee (Jennifer) Davis, and Kim (Mark) Spivey-Shul; her 11 great grandchildren, her 2 great great grandchildren, her sister Myrtle Eck, and many other loving family members and friends. Opal was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rutherford Lakes; her step son, Rudy Joseph Lakes; her granddaughter, Cindy Davis; her siblings, Clarence Ash, Aster "Babe" Ash Jr., and Ellen Osner.

Visitation will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 1:00PM to 1:30PM. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
