Orven "Bowtie" Hounchell

Orven "Bowtie" Hounchell Jr., age 79 of Middletown, passed from this life into eternal life on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Butler Warren Hospice in Middletown, Ohio. Orven was born in Hamilton, Ohio on September 3, 1938 to Orven Hounchell Sr. and Alma Rae Parker Rye. Orven loved the Lord and enjoyed singing Gospel songs and reading the Bible.

Bowtie is survived by his wife Barbara Bertsch Hounchell; son, Ricky (Rita) Hounchell, two daughters, Ann (Bruce) Bingle, Maxaline (Danny) Murphy; two sisters, Maxaline (Milford) Radin and Becky (the late Donald) Godfrey; 12 Grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Bowtie was preceded in death by his parents, John and Alma Rye; father, Orven Hounchell Sr.; daughter, Alma Rae Hounchell; son, John Hounchell; grandson, Charles Rose.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio. Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Danny Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery.
