Paron "Kurt" Kesner, Jr.

Paron “Kurt” Kesner, Jr., age 75 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton with his loving family at his side on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. Known to most as Kurt, he was born in Cumberland, Maryland on January 31,1950 to the late Paron, Sr. and Myrtle (Lark) Kesner. As a young man, Kurt moved to London, KY for an apprenticeship with General Motors. His certifications and knowledge led him to earn his ASE Master Technician certifications. He worked for multiple GM dealerships and repair shops, including Rose Chevrolet and Valley Auto. 

When he wasn’t turning wrenches, Kurt enjoyed the freedom of the open road on his Harley Davidson, casting a line at the creek, traveling with his wife, and spending time – which often including fixing something, with his family. 

Kurt is survived by his loving wife, Karla Kesner; his children, Anthony (Jennifer) Kesner, Carrie (John) Campbell, Ryan (Kristen) Brown, and Chad (Jessica) Brown; his grandchildren, Alexa, Ashley, Little, April, Ben, Justin, Cody, Kyle, Brooke, Addison, Aiden, Olivia, Ben, and Piper; his great-grandchildren, Brinlee, Bella, Rilen, Abel, Keegan, Kolton, Karter, Aria, Sophia, Bodin, and Loryn; his sister, Norma (Mike) Hutson, Bonnie Helman, and Janet Kearnchner; as well as his brother-in-law, Marty (Julie) Sackenheim; his sisters-in-law, Debby Baker and Pam Sackenheim; and numerous cousins, extended family members and friends. Kurt was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Dora Arnold; his brother, James Lark; and his brother-in-law, Gary Helman; as well as his parents-in-law, Martin & Erma Sackenheim; his sister-in-law, April McCoy; and his Brother-in-law, Denzil Baker; and his feline companions. Memorial Services to Celebrate Kurt’s Life will be held at a later date. He will be laid to rest with his parents in Cumberland, Maryland.

Donations in Kurt’s memory may be gifted to the Hospice of Hamilton.
