Pastor Willard Baker

Pastor Willard Baker, age 79, pastor of the Free Pentecostal Church of God on Pater Avenue from 1988 to the present, passed away at his residence on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at 5:10 AM. He was born in Hamilton on July 14, 1931 the son of Harvey "Reece" and Mary (Isaacs) Baker. He was employed as a plant manager for Don Cisle Construction for 30 years, retiring in 1975 and was a member of the Ben Franklin Lodge #719 F&AM. On February 14, 1955 in Hamilton he was married to Violet Skinner.

He is survived by his wife, Violet Baker of Hamilton; a son, Quiller (Nancy) Baker of Hamilton; two daughters, Burtle (Jim) Zimmerer and Brenda (Rodney) Gray, both of Hamilton; two sisters, Myrtle Allen and Burtle King, both of Hamilton; seven grandchildren, Brian Spencer of Fitchburg, MA, Quiller (Monica) Baker II, Crystal Baker, Caleb Zimmerer, Amanda (Aaron) Phillips, Jacob Howard and Luke Howard, all of Hamilton; five great-grandchildren, Jett, Isaac, Presley, Naomi, and Shea; and also his close friends at Pater Avenue Pentecostal Church and close family friends Ellen Bond, Amy Gray, and Kim McIntosh. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Quiller.

Funeral Services will be held at the Pater Avenue Pentecostal Church, 1321 Pater Avenue, Hamilton, OH 45011, on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 1 PM with Reverend Albert Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at church on Thursday from 11 AM to 1 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Pater Avenue Pentecostal Church.
