Pastor James H. Mullins, Sr.

Pastor James H. Mullins, Sr., age 80, heard the Savior say, "Well done, my good and faithful servant," on June 25th, 2014 at 1:30 p.m.

The beloved Senior Pastor of Calvary Christian Center in Hamilton, for 31 years, was born on August 17, 1933 in Parrot, Kentucky, the son of Wilmer and Ivas Mullins.

He met the love of his life Patricia Ann Perry, who became his wife on March 25th 1957. They welcomed two children, Jim and Cathy, to their union. The two were later called to the front lines of ministry. They committed their lives to building the army of God, through the principles of the Bible. This gentle General of the Christian faith was known for his integrity, his humility and his genuine love of people. Together he and his wife co-Pastored Calvary Christian Center, until she went to Heaven in April of 1995. He continued to preach the Word and illustrate by example, being imitators of God, as dear children, by walking in love.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat; his parents, Wilmer and Ivas Mullins; brother, Eddie Dale Mullins, sister, Annabirt French, and son in law Jim Finney.

He will be deeply missed by his son and daughter in love, Pastors Jim and Diane Mullins of Hamilton; his daughter, Cathy Mullins McCarthy of Trenton, six grandsons, Derrick (Katie) Finney of Camden, Andy Finney of Hamilton, Matthew Finney of Batavia, Micah McCarthy of Trenton, Cody and Jordan Mullins both of Hamilton; four great grandsons, Aiden, Landen, Wyatt and Ryker Finney; sister, Carolyn Wallace; brother, Charles Mullins of Overpeck, Doug Mullins of Middletown, and Phil Mullins of Millville; many nieces and nephews; his church family at Calvary Christian Center and around the world and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation for Senior Pastor Mullins will be on Sunday, June 29th from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., at Calvary Christian Center, 2355 Jacksonburg Rd., Hamilton. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Graveside service will be held on Monday, June 30th at 10:00 a.m. at Hickory Flats Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to meet at Calvary Christian Center at 9:30 a.m. Monday to process to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to the Calvary Christian Center Scholarship Fund. The family would also like to extend a thank you to Hospice of Cincinnati and the staff of Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
