Patricia Lois Johnston

December 14, 1948 — January 27, 2026

Frankfort

Patricia was a gentle and kind soul and this world was blessed by the gift of her life. Although Patricia was differently abled than many others, having been born with both developmental and physical disabilities, she exemplified what it meant to be a person who overcame and survived, well passed when many would have thought possible. Patricia had a precious childlike faith in Jesus, which she displayed on the walls of her room through crosses, Bible verses, and Bible-based crafts. One such verse on her bulletin board read, “(Jesus said) ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me’” (John 14:6). She held a special place in her heart for Elvis Presley, and his pictures also adorned her walls. She loved flowers, the color pink, and stuffed animals. For the first part of her life, she always went by the nickname “Patty,” but later in life, she greatly preferred the older sounding “Patricia.” Patricia was preceded in death by her father George Johnston and her mother Virginia Urton Johnston, as well as numerous other relatives. In the last decade of her life, she enjoyed visits from her Frankfort, Kentucky cousins, Michelle (Ricky), Isaac, Emma, Josiah, and Micah Simpson. May Patricia rest in peace, healed and whole, in the arms of her beloved Savior Jesus Christ.
