Patricia Ann Vaughn

Patricia Ann Vaughn (nee Culton), age 82, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 after a long illness. Patricia was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 8, 1935 to Charles and Viola (nee Fambach) Culton. On December 13, 1954, she married William "Ernie" Vaughn and had two children. Patricia was a homemaker & worked as a teacher’s assistant at Hamilton City Schools, retiring after 27 years. Patty will be lovingly remembered as having a keen sense of humor, a sharp mind, & many interests and talents. Besides being an excellent cook & homemaker, she was a gifted artist & craftswoman excelling in painting, gardening, sewing, upholstery, home improvements, and more. Patty also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, traveling, and camping with family & friends.

Patricia is survived by her son, William "Bill" (Joan) Vaughn Jr.; her grandchildren, Gary McCracken, Jeff (Casey Brown) Vaughn, and Lindsay Vaughn; her great-grandsons, Owen & Ian Vaughn; nieces, Carol Culton, Kathy & Lee Ann Tirey; nephews, David & Kenny Koger and Nick (Mabel) Couch and their children Kevin & Retha; as well as many other dear family and friends. A special thanks to her dear friends, Wini Kieviet, Debbie Petty, Janet Adlesburger, and Pam Bolser for their support & close friendship through the years. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Clarence Culton and Eileen Koger; her husband, William "Ernie" Vaughn Sr.; her daughter, Cheryl Ann McCracken; and her beloved dog Mack.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
