Patrick Alan McKinney Sr.

Patrick Alan McKinney Sr, 64, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, exactly two years to the day after his mother. Pat was born on June 4, 1961, the second of five children, to the late Charles and Janet (Wimmer) McKinney. Patrick graduated from Badin High School, class of 1979. Pat went on to top out of his electrical apprenticeship with IBEW 648 in 1991. He continued with a successful career with Local 648. In 2002, he joined the Princeton City Schools as a maintenance technician. Pat found so much joy serving the district, having visited every school and facility over the years. Pat was a strong, but humble man, honest, sincere, and loyal. He enjoyed botany, baking bread, making caramels, and in recent years, playing bingo and poker with a great group of friends. Above all, Patrick’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Erika (Zachary) Waller, Patrick Jr. (Sam), Kayla (Robby) Rogers, Matthew (Kendal, his favorite daughter), Joseph (Victoria), Jessica (Mark) Pergram, and Jason Lindsay; Grandchildren, Huckleberry, Moxon, Kamryn, Elizabeth, Parker, Alec, Colton, Sophia, Jake, Luke, Sam, and Theo; Siblings, Chuck (Melanie) McKinney, Mike (Teri) McKinney, Missy (Doug) Krusenklaus, Dave McKinney; his aunts and uncles, Frank McKinney, Rudy Wimmer, Mary Rose Richardson, Joni (Bob) Naylor, Theresa Howard; mother-in-law, Sue Ann (Jerry) Townsend, close friends Rocky and Kim Centers, and a host of extended family members, coworkers, and friends, far too numerous to mention by name.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Tami McKinney; aunts and uncles, Michael, Tom, Don, Sylvia, Judy, and Sam; and his cousin, Joey Naylor.

Pat’s Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 3:30 PM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2550 Millville Ave, Hamilton, OH 45013. A Celebration of Pat’s Life will take place immediately afterwards at Pohlman Lanes in Hamilton. Donations in Patrick’s memory may be made to Alex’s Lemonade Stand www.alexslemonade.org
