Paul Couch

Paul Couch, age 90 of Hamilton passed away at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 6:10 PM. He was born in Perry County, Kentucky on December 4, 1918 the son of Daniel and Maude (Campbell) Couch. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II from 1944 to 1945. He was employed as a material handler for Fisher Body for 30 years, retiring in 1980. Paul was a lifetime member of VFW #1069. On June 15, 1940 in Breathitt County, Kentucky he married Blanche Stidham, and she preceded him in death in 2001.

He is survived by four sons, Sam (Karen) Couch of St. Petersburg, Florida, William (Connie) Couch of Lake Butler, Florida, Paul (Mary) Couch Jr. of Pendleton, Indiana, and Jack (Vickie) Couch of College Corner, Indiana; two daughters, Dian (Langley) Haddix of Hamilton and Brenda Couch of Hamilton; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fred Couch and Kenny Couch; and three sisters, Marie Wooten, Ruby Napier, and Imogene Milam. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Charlotte Bunger; and two sisters, Marilyn Couch and Jane Howard.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, July 20, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Pastor George Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
