Paul E. Grollmus

Paul E. Grollmus, age 85 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Paul was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on May 19, 1932, to William R. Grollmus and Anna Stahlheber Grollmus. He was married to Carol Huesman for 33 years before her death in 1990. Paul was owner of Al-Joe’s Inc. from 1960 until his retirement in 1997. He was a lifelong lover of baseball, having played for Miami University. Paul was a lifetime member of the Father Butler Council 968 of the Knights of Columbus. He also loved nature and travel. His favorite trips included those to Germany, Bavaria and Banff. Paul was a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Paul is survived by his children, Roger (Barbara) Grollmus, Michael (Mary Beth) Grollmus, Tim Grollmus, Stephen Grollmus, Mary Ann (Dr. Charles) Kelly, Susan Ann (Jonathan) O’Shields, Gary Grollmus, brother, Melvin Grollmus, 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Grollmus, son, Thomas Joseph Grollmus, and brother, Robert "Dale" Grollmus.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 171 Washington St., Hamilton, Ohio, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM with Fr. Jim Elsbernd officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
