Paul C. Hammons

Paul C. Hammons, age 59 of Liberty Township passed away at West Chester Medical Center on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 3:50 PM. He was born in Hamilton on August 8, 1952 the son of Willie and Helen (Bunger) Hammons. Paul was employed as a welder for Southern Ohio Fabrications for 12 years. On June 22, 1979 in Hamilton he married Glenna F. Thornhill.

He is survived by his wife, Glenna F. Hammons of Liberty Township; three sons, Paul C. II (Ashley) Hammons of Ft. Myers, Florida, Daniel O. Hammons, and Amor Cherif, both of Liberty Township; two daughters, Laura D. Alcorn of Liberty Township and Sarah B. (Fred Jr.) Goins of Hamilton; three brothers, Wayne Hammons of Middletown, Vernon Hammons and Billie (Michelle) Hammons, both of Trenton; two sisters, Wilma (Roy) Miller of Trenton and Shirley (Elvin) Barrett of Middletown; and ten grandchildren, Aspen, Jocelyn, Markus, Brendan, Zohra, Aya, Yaseen, Ian, Noah, and Hailey; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Brenda S. Thornhill, a daughter, Glenna J. Cherif; and a brother, Jeff Hammons.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Bill Coble officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
