Paul R. Maples

Paul R. Maples, age 75 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Tuesday, April 8, 2008. He was born in Everton, West Virginia on October 26, 1932 the son of Noah W. Sr. and Lonzie (Hinel) Maples. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was an employee of H.P. Deuscher Company for 25 years and was later employed at Strong Aluminum Foundry. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf. On July 30, 1957 in Tazewell, Tennessee, he married Jeanette Harris.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Maples of Hamilton; two brothers, Neal of Hamilton and Ralph (Janice) of Middletown; three sisters, Edith (Jerry) of Hamilton, Carrie (the late Bill) of Kentucky, and Jean (Donald) of Hamilton; two sisters-in-law, Geneva (the late Ray) Strong and Betty (Johnny) Caudill, both of Hamilton; one brother-in-law, J.C. (Jean) Harris of Marion, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary; and two brothers, Noah Jr. and an infant.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, April 11, 2008 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Dale Hinderliter of East Hamilton Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Paul’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staffs of Hospice of Hamilton and the Intensive Care Unit at Ft. Hamilton Hospital.
