Pauline B. Church

Pauline B. Church, age 80 of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of Hamilton, Ohio and Bunker Hill, Indiana passed away at Northpoint Healthcare on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 12:18 AM. She was born in Laurel County, Kentucky on July 2, 1931 the daughter of Christ and Violet (Mooney) Brock. Pauline was a member of Southern Acres Christian Church in Lexington, and a former member of Gordon Avenue Baptist Church, where she was active in Bible study, Sunday school, and Ladies Circle. She raised foster children for many years and was employed in customer service at K-Mart. On February 23, 1946 in Covington, Kentucky she married Robert P. Church, and he preceded her in death in 1997.

She is survived by two sons, Christopher (Cindy) Church of Covington, Kentucky and Robert (Lori) Church of Hamilton; a daughter, Susie (Ben) Little of Germantown; two brothers, Orville Lee (Barbara) Brock of Vine Grove, Kentucky and James (Winnie) Brock Sr. of Hamilton; two sisters, Virginia Morgan and Georgia (Gary) Calin of Trenton; ten grandchildren, Shelly Quick, Rachel (Troy) Bailey, Nickolas Church, Tracy (Kelly) Avery, Audria (Sonny) Felts, Dwayne Church, Benjamin (Cari) Church, Erika (Jody) Hranicky, Crystal Church, and John (Holly) Church; 21 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, John Studebaker of Indiana. She was preceded in death by her father, Chris Brock; her mother, Violet Sullivan; a son, Lee Church; two brothers, Harold Eugene Brock and Chris Brock Jr.; and a sister, Mildred Brown.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Lonnie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to The American Heart Fund or to The Kidney Foundation.
