Pauline Piraino

Pauline Piraino, age 91 formerly of Hamilton passed away in Florida Hospital in Orlando, Florida on Friday, August 8, 2008 at 3:05 PM. She was born in Berea, Kentucky on August 16, 1916, the daughter of J. William and Minnie (Waddell) Purkey. Pauline attended Berea College and was a member of St. Peter In Chains Catholic Church. On October 10, 1945 in Hamilton, she was married to Joseph A. Piraino and he preceded her in death in 2000.

She is survived by one son, Joseph P. Piraino of Largo, Florida; three grandchildren, Lydia (Angelo) Biondo of Fairfield, Gina Piraino of Fairfield and Sara Piraino of Hamilton; one great grandchild, Anthony. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Paula Jo Piraino in 1962; two brothers, John R. and Homer L. Purkey and one sister, Grace Buckley.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter In Chains Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 10AM with Father Tim Bunch, Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday from 6 PM to 8 PM.
