Pauline Scalf Proffitt

Pauline Scalf Proffitt, age 53 of Hamilton passed away at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 5:24 AM. She was born in Clay County, Kentucky on June 11, 1954 the daughter of Sylvester and Mollie (Bowling) Scalf.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Adam (Karen) Proffitt, and Justin (Dana) Proffitt, both of Hamilton; a daughter, Crystal (Juan Serna) Proffitt of Hamilton; five brothers, Lester (Helen) Scalf, Oscar Scalf, Lonnie Scalf, Victor Scalf, and James Scalf, all of Hamilton; three sisters, Velda Roberts, Linda (Bruce) Bryant, and Barbara (Brad Caudill) Scalf, all of Hamilton; adopted sister, Kelly (David Seiler) Roberts of Hamilton; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, former spouse, Kenneth Proffitt, and a son Allen Proffitt.

Funeral Service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Larry Gaines, Pastor of New Life Baptist Mission officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
