Pauline Wagers

Pauline Wagers, age 85 of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014. She was born in Berea, KY on August 23, 1928 to Luther and Mary (Mullins) Settles. In 1946 in Newport, KY she married Eness Wagers, who preceded her in death in 1992. She was a member of Calvary Christian Center. Pauline was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was Sunday school teacher for over 60 years and children gravitated towards her. Pauline retired from Mercy Hospital of Hamilton in 1989 after over 26 years, and loved to crochet.

She is survived by her children, Paul (Beverly) Wagers, Rachel Donnelly, Thomas (Kay) Wagers, and Lela (Wendell) Vance; 24 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Robert and J.B. Settles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eness Wagers; sons, Bill and Larry Wagers; daughter, Louise Wagers; sisters, Evelyn Dawes and Jean Trent-Rubush; and her parents.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
