Pearl L. Bales

Pearl L. Bales, age 78 of Hamilton passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Friday, February 07, 2014 at 11:59 AM. She was born in Owsley County, Kentucky on March 12, 1935 the daughter of Eli and Thelma (Newton) Hamilton. On December 2, 1950 in Mt. Carmel, Ohio she married James Bales and he preceded her in death in March 27, 2010. Pearl was employed as a welder at Liberty Sheet Metal for fifteen years, retiring in 1988.

She is survived by her three children, Michael (Pamela) Bales, Gregory (Marcia) Bales, and Victoria Bales, all of Hamilton; two brothers, Wendell Hamilton of Hamilton and Winford Hamilton of Cleves; two sisters, Martricia Bales and Gloria Kay Sumner, both of Cleves; four grandchildren, Julie Ellison, Tammy Ferguson, Lori (John) Winkelbach, Tonya (Darryl) Pies, all of Hamilton; and eight great-grandchildren, Tosha Lynn, Chandler, Charlie, Brody, Hayden, Gage, Eli, and John Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Emma and husband Larry Baker; granddaughter, Tracey Scalf; great-grandson, Coty; and Pat and Andrea.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday February 14, 2014 at 1:00PM with Pastor Sonny Hurd of Lighthouse Fellowship officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
