Peggy Jean Harris (nee Garland), age 71 of Fairfield passed away at Mercy Hospital Fairfield on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. She was born in Hamilton on July 4, 1940 the daughter of Frederick and Mildred (Kauffung) Garland. On March 23, 1963 in Hamilton she married the love of her life Bob Harris. Peggy owned and operated One Stop Uniform Shop in Fairfield and was a top bowler in the region for many years.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Bob Harris; two beloved daughters, Janna and husband Rob Owens, Janie and husband Jason Privett, and their brother Daniel Harris; two sisters, Sheila (Chuck) Dowd of Hamilton, and Diana (John) Cooper of England; three grandchildren, Devin Owens, Dylan Owens, and Benjamin Privett; a nephew, Jeff Evans; a niece, Joanna Cooper, and many other friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ron Small officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
