Philip Edward Poppel

Philip Edward Poppel, age 53 of Hamilton, passed away at home on Monday, August 8, 2016.He was born in Hamilton on September 22, 1962 to Clifford and Shirley (Bens) Poppel. Philip was employed at Butler County Lumber for 27 years. He was a member and usher at St. Ann Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 968, and AMVETS Post 1983.

He is survived by his siblings; Pamela (John) Thompson, Perry (Amy) Poppel, Cliff Poppel, Mary Ann Anderson, Paul (Cheryl) Poppel, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church, 3028 Pleasant Avenue, on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 10 AM with Fr. Larry Tharp and Bishop Joe Binzer officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home 1350 Millville Ave Hamilton, 45013 with a Knights of Columbus service beginning at 7:30PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Ann Catholic Church Roots and Wings Tuition Assistance or Animal Friends Humane Society, 1820 Princeton Rd. Hamilton, 45011.
