Philip David Vennefron

Philip David Vennefron, age 70 of Hamilton, passed away on September 1, 2016. Philip was born in Ballston Spa, New York on August 25, 1946 to Paul Joseph Vennefron and Mabel Sarah (Atkins) Vennefron. Phil was a 1964 graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School, a veteran of the United States Navy from 1964-1970 and a member of the Amvets Post #1983. He was employed at the United States Postal Service for 37 years, retiring in March, 2008.

Philip is survived by his children, Gayle LeGris, David Vennefron, and Carrie Vennefron; his grandchildren, Sophia and Ethan LeGris; his sisters, Betty (Jim) Jost and Helen (Jim) Baxter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Philip was preceded in death by his parents, mother, Vivian Vennefron; his brother, Paul Vennefron; and his sister, Margaret Baldwin.

Phil (The Sailor Man) was well known for his kindness, big heart, and being loved by many. We will miss you greatly Phil (Dad).

Memorial service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 7:00 PM. Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
