Phillip W. Gray

July 18, 1942 — May 22, 2010

Phillip W. Gray, age 67 of Wayne Township passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 22, 2010. He was born in London, Kentucky on July 18, 1942 the son of Elmer and Lena (Bryant) Gray. Phillip was employed as a bus driver for Cincinnati Metro for 35 years, retiring in 2001 and currently employed at Middletown Transit Association. He was a member of Moose Lodge of Trenton, Eagles #409 in Hamilton, and Eagles Lodge of Middletown.

He is survived by two sons, Douglas (Sherry) Gray of Orlando, Florida and Don (Kim) Gray of Fairfield; former spouse, Mary Jo (Klamo) Gray of Fairfield; three grandchildren, Marissa Gray and Evan Gray of Orlando, Florida, and Kyle Gray of Fairfield; his devoted partner, Thekla Carpenter of Wayne Township and her sons, Jason (Calinthia) Carpenter of Trenton and Shimron Carpenter of Middletown; and her grandchildren Eli, K, Jeremiah, and Chastity. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
