Phyllis A. Whited

Phyllis A. Whited, age 68 of Ross, passed away at Kindred Hospital, Tampa, Florida on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 3:50 AM. She was born in Hamilton on December 28, 1940 the daughter of Merritt and Margaret (Barrett) McKee. Phyllis was employed as the Benefits Accounting Manager for SOS Steel Company for 40 years. On July 27, 1965 in Ross she married Eulan S. Whited who preceded her in death in 1996.

She is survived by four children, Greg (Lisa) Whited of Hamilton, Chris (Page Lewis) Whited of Florida, Belinda (Gene) Newberry of Trenton, and Angela (Paul) Bricking of Ross; one brother, Dale (Ruth) McKee of Ross; twelve grandchildren, Brandon Newberry, Brandi (Jerry) Combs, Laura (Adam) Dobson, Heather Whited, Kyle Whited, Kurt Whited, Jennifer Bricking, Amy Boehl, Jessica Bricking, Chloe Lewis, Chelse Lewis, and Chantel Greene; five great grandchildren, Daniele, Emmalee, Eulan Brandon, Mariah, and Kaylee; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Bishop David Green Jr. of Faith Fellowship Church officiating. Burial will follow at Venice Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
