Priscilla J. Anderson

Priscilla J. Anderson, age 79 of West Chester passed away at Birchwood Care Center on Tuesday, August 31, 2010. She was born in Paintsville, Kentucky on December 21, 1930 the daughter of Richard Lee and Lucille (Downey) James. A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, Priscilla was employed as a third-grade teacher for the Northwest Local School District for 37 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Kay (Walter) Gowsell of West Chester; two grandchildren, Kevin Gowsell and Sabrina Gowsell of West Chester; a brother, Richard Lee James of Largo, Florida; and two sisters, Phyllis (Harry) Rupp of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Nancy (Bill) Bright of Portsmouth, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Elizabeth Hooper.

A celebration of her life will be held at Rolling Hills Baptist Church, 5742 Pleasant Avenue, Fairfield, on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Danny Rollins of Rolling Hills Baptist Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Life Baptist Mission, 415 Henry St., Hamilton, OH 45011. Food and fellowship will follow the service, in the church hall.
