Quiller "Babe" Baker, age 59 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Monday, November 14, 2016. He was born in Hamilton on June 12, 1957 the son of Willard and Violet (Skinner) Baker. Babe was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Prus Construction for twenty three years. On February 22, 1980 in Hamilton he married the love of his life, Nancy Steele. Babe was a loving man who enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Baker; three children, Brian Spencer, Quiller (Monica) Baker II, and Crystal (Derek) Bresnen; two beautiful granddaughters, Naomi and Shea Baker; his mother, Violet Baker; two sisters, Brenda (Rodney) Gray and Burtle (Jim) Zimmerer; his mother and father-in-law; Mary and Gary Palmatier; brother-in-law, Fred (Johanna Boggs) Steele; sister-in-law, Cindy (fiancé Tim Thackeray) Steele; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Baker; father-in-law, Clarence Steele; and brother-in-law, Bill Steele.
Funeral service will be held at Fairfield Church of God, 6001 Dixie Highway, on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Pat Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the church. www.browndawsonflick.com
