Raleigh C. Gray

Raleigh C. Gray, age 81 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Monday, October 6, 2014. He was born in McKee, KY on August 4, 1933 to Jessie and Bertie (Marcum) Gray. Raleigh was the Owner/Operator of Grays Insulation Company, and he retired in 1995. On June 12, 1959 in Jellico, TN he married Opal Collins, and she preceded him in death in 1991.

He is survived by his children, Kathy (Jake) Sowders, Sue (Ronnie) Theiss, , Dale (Sue) Tillery; ten grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Gray, Hershell Gray, Fred Gray, Clyde Gray, David Gray, and Johnnie Gray; sisters, Roena Oliver, Margaret Creech, Lavona Gray, Deloris Rose, and Nadene Lynch, and a good friend, Violet Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Opal Gray; sons, Aubrey Gray, Wayne Gray; two grandchildren, Chad James Sowders, and Jason Dale Tillery; and three sisters Elvie Colins, Leona Gray, Dema Gray.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday Oct. 9, 2014 at 10AM with Rev. Paul Marcum officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Oct. 9, 2014 from 9AM–10AM at the funeral home.
