Ralph Patrick Arnette

Ralph Patrick Arnette, age 78 of West Chester passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospice Unit on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at 2:50 PM. He was born in Keokee, Virginia on July 20, 1928 the son of Arvol and Martha (Dean) Arnette. Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1953. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of VFW Post #1069 and East River Road Baptist Church. On February 14, 1961 in Kentucky he married Barbara Coates.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Arnette of West Chester; a son, Patrick (Verna) Arnette of Cincinnati; two daughters, Marianne (Robert) Privette of Lexington, Ohio and Kelli Arnette of Trenton; six grandchildren, Damon, Melissa, Sarah, Amy, Elise, and Anne; two great-grandchildren, Kaitland and Xavier; a sister, Virgie "Cricket" Bolling of Norton, Virginia; and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Opal Shook and Hazel Egan; and two brothers, Rudy Arnette and Clyde Arnette.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, OH. 45013 on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Jim Williford of East River Road Baptist Church and Rev. R. Vernon Babcock officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Ralph’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Ft. Hamilton hospital, especially the ICU, 5 Main, 4 Main, and Vitas Hospice. Special thanks to Teri and Pam from cardiac rehab, and thanks to Dr. Crane and Dr. Sternberg.
