Ralph (R.A.) Henderson

Ralph (R.A.) Henderson, of Fairfield passed away at Mercy Hospital Fairfield on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at the age of 81. He was born in St. Clairsville, Ohio on January 24, 1929, the youngest child of Ralph A. Sr. and Mary Gertrude (Giffen) Henderson. He grew up in Logan and Columbus, OH, graduated from North High School and Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. He received his Law Degree from Ohio State University School of Law in 1952. Ralph was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a highly respected attorney and practiced law in Butler County for over fifty years. Ralph was very active with Butler County Law Library, Butler County Ethics Committee, Hamilton Kiwanis, and Aquarius Club, and he coached the Legal Eagles in the Hamilton Businessmen’s Softball League. On June 23, 1979 in Hamilton he married Jean (Gerber) Inloes.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Henderson of Fairfield; two children, Thomas A. (Stacy) Henderson of Carmel, Indiana and Beth A. (Bob) Galbraith of Glendale; two granddaughters, Emily Galbraith of Glendale and Hannah Henderson of Hamilton; a sister, Geneva (Don) Swartz of Saratoga, California; a sister-in-law, Ann Henderson of Abilene, Texas; eleven nieces and nephews; three stepchildren, Shirley Snyder, Richard (Kathy) Inloes, and Gail (Brad) Schlenk, all of Hamilton; eight step-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Barbara, his parents, step-son-in-law Richard Snyder, a nephew, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Dan Snider officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice or the Richard Snyder Scholarship Fund, c/o Lindenwald Kiwanis, 6 Tiffany Court, Hamilton, OH 45013.
