Ramona Baker, age 68 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 1:00 PM. She was born in Hamilton on November 27, 1941 the daughter of Vernor and Pauline (Gregory) Reece. Ramona worked at Tony Bell Heating and Air for 12 years, and was employed in the cash office of Meijer for 12 years. Ramona was a life member of VFW Auxiliary #1069. On November 28, 1959 in Hamilton she married Kenneth Baker, and he preceded her in death in 1965.
She is survived by a son, Gregory Baker of Hamilton; three grandchildren, Tara Musgrave, Tiffany Baker, and Toni Baker; three great-grandchildren, Landon Cole Musgrave, Isabella Marie Musgrave, and Rylan Lee Scott Baker; a brother, John (Lola) Reece of Sacramento, California; a niece, Paula Freuler of Hamilton; a nephew, Vernor A. Reece II of Sacramento, California; two great-nephews, Tayler Timler of Hamilton, who was like a grandson to Ramona, and Vernor A. Reece III of Sacramento, California; two great-nieces, Jaelynn Aubrie Michelle Timler and Brianna Kay Hilsercop; and numerous other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Scott Alan Baker in 2000; a great-grandson, Cody Michael William Webb; and a great-nephew, Tyler Timler.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 9:30 AM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
