Raymond Allgeier

Raymond Lee Allgeier, age 75 of Reily, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Monday, September 7, 2020. Ray was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 29, 1945 to Frank and Edna Allgeier. Ray graduated from Colerain High School, then attended Cincinnati Technical College. On June 10, 1967, he married the love of his life, Donna Goldsmith. He worked as a Sheet Metal Journeyman from Local 141 Cincinnati and retired after 43 years of service. After retirement, Ray enjoyed being the family handyman, babysitter and jack of all trades. He also took on his passion for Christmas decorations displayed at his residence in Reily, Ohio. Ray will be remembered for his hard work, kindness and above all, love for his family.

Ray is survived by his wife of 53 years, Donna Allgeier; his children, Patty (Andy) McCormick, Gail (Dave) Hudson, Kim (Branden Monk) Allgeier and Jamie (Amanda) Allgeier; his grandchildren, Angel Hill, Jasmine Bennett, Jessica Bennett, Bradley Allgeier, Jacob Allgeier and Abby Allgeier; his great-grandchildren, Evan, Joslynn, Layla and Alanna Hill; one on the way, Maleah Rae Ann Deeter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Carl Allgeier and Alma (Pinky) Ruppert and family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 3350 Chapel Road, Shandon, Ohio, on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s and National Pancreatic Cancer Foudation.
