Raymond Leroy Badgley, age 82 of Hamilton, passed away February 3, 2013, at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in West Milton on December 11, 1930 to Raymond and Lovell (McRoberts) Badgley. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean Conflict from September 1951 until June 1953. Lee married Carol Becker on October 13, 1956 at St. Veronica Catholic Church in Hamilton. He was a Pattern Maker at Fisher Body for 36 years, retiring in 1989. Lee was a member of the Pattern Makers Union, Holy Name Society, St. Vincent de Paul Society and Queen of Peace Catholic Church. He loved making wood crafts for his family and gardening. Lee also enjoyed family vacations on Hilton Head Island and in The Smokey Mountains.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carol Badgley; children, Edward Badgley, Anna Marie (James) Bange, Monica (Tony) Talbott, Mary Sylvia (Mitch) Thurman, Robert (Deborah) Badgley, Paula (Shannon) Gillian and Elaine (Tony) Kemp; son in law, Randy Brunson; 21 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joanna Brunson.
Visitation will be 10am, until time of Mass of Christian Burial (11am) Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2550 Millville Ave. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society C/O Queen of Peace Church, 2550 Millville Ave. Hamilton.
