Raymond "Ray" Mills

Raymond "Ray" Mills, age 38 of Hamilton passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Wednesday, May 9, 2007. He was born in Hamilton on June 11, 1968 the son of Martus and Hazel (Gerhardt) Mills. Ray was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. He was a wonderful son, brother, and uncle who will be irreplaceable and unforgettable in all our hearts.

He is survived by six brothers, James (Cookie) King, Michael (Carolyn) Mills, both of Hamilton, Martus (Sharon) Mills Jr. of Harrison, Manford Mills, David (Monica) Mills, and Phillip Mills, all of Hamilton; five sisters, Regina Hollandsworth of Hamilton, Deborah Isaacs of Lake Havasu, AZ, LaVerne Hoog of Cleveland, TN, Phyllis (Buck) Gross and Juanita (Mike) Banks, both of Hamilton; devoted companion, Jenny of Hamilton; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles and Robert Mills; and one sister, Ellen Mills.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., on Monday, May 14, 2007 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Kenneth Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Ft. Hamilton Hospital.
