Raymond Sandlin

Raymond Sandlin, age 78 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 9:18AM. He was born in Harlan Co., KY on June 2, 1936 to Jerry and Amanda (Riley) Sandlin. Raymond was employed at Mosler Safe Company for 37 years, retiring in 1994. While working at Mosler Safe Company, he started his own business in the community, Ray’s Drain and Sewer Cleaning. On December 4, 1954 in Breathitt Co. KY, he married Mary Elizabeth Vandermeer, and she preceded him in death on February 27, 2014.

He is survived by two daughters, Inez (Jim) McLaughlin, of Hamilton, and Janet Lee (Tony) Sanders, of Minnesotta; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Clyde Dale (Ethel) Sandlin of Middletown; and one sister, Mary Ella (Roy) Turner of Camden. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
