Raymond Jordan Van Setters

Raymond Jordan Van Setters, age 81 of Goshen, passed away with his daughter by his side on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Ray was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on August 12, 1943 the son of Carl and Marquita (Matthews) Van Setters. Ray was a diesel mechanic for many years. He enjoyed fishing, drinking beer, camping and deer hunting.

Ray is survived by his daughter, Angie Moses and her husband, Richard Hartman; his stepchildren, Chris Woodell, Kelly (Peggy) Finnerty and Timothy (Pamela) Finnerty; his grandchildren, Stephanie (Tony) Marshall, Nikki Moses, Kaitlin Finnerty, Kyle (Lindsay) Finnerty, Shaela Finnerty, and Seth Finnerty; his great-grandchildren, Anthony & Maxwell Marshall; his friend, Ron Moses; his sisters, Jean Butler and Patty Wise; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Marquita Van Setters; his first wife, Helene Van Setters; his wife of 30 years, Barbara Van Setters; his stepson, Kenneth Johnson; and his siblings, GennaV, Donald, Aileen, Carl Jr., Donna and Arthur.

According to Ray's wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati in memory of Ray.
