Raymond C. Zehler

ZEHLER, Raymond C. Age 83 of Hamilton, passed away on March 9, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Butler County on October 27, 1932 to Paul and Marcella Zehler. Ray retired from Fisher Body in 1981 after 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janice Zehler; children, Bill (Diana) Zehler, Jennifer (Dave) Allen, Kathleen Zehler, Teresa (Shawn) Patrick, and Steven Zehler; 13 granddaughters; and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert and James Zehler; sisters, Helen Wynne and Margie Stahlheber. He was an avid member of the Izaak Walton League of America since 1967. He was active on the local and national levels, garnering every award given by IWLA. He served on several Butler County environmental committees. Ray was a faithful parishioner at Queen of Peace Parish since 1967.

A Prayer Service for all friends and family will be held at 4:30pm on Sunday, March 13th at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, with visitation from 5:00 to 8:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2550 Millville Ave, on Monday, March 14th at 10:00am with Fr. Steven Zehler celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery.
