Rebecca Brown

Rebecca Brown, age 61, resident of Windsor Lakes, The Woodlands, formerly a longtime resident of San Antonio, moving to Texas from Hamilton, Ohio, in 1968 and relocating to The Woodlands to be near her new grandson in 2008, died Saturday, June 19th, 2010, at 3:30 p.m. in her home in Windsor Lakes, The Woodlands, Texas.

She was born on October 25, 1948, in Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of Beverly and Evelyn (Jones) Boone, was educated in the Hamilton public schools, and attended Miami University and the University of Texas, San Antonio, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in History and her Teaching Certification in 1995. In 1968, in Hamilton, Ohio, she married Ralph Michael Brown, and he preceded her in death in 1994. She had been a teacher for Salem Sayers Christian School and the S.W. Independent School District. She was a member of and secretary for Living Faith Church in San Antonio, Texas.

She is survived by four siblings, Matthew Boone, Holly Boone Papaleonardos, Martha Boone Anderson, and Leslie Boone Murphy; by four children, Craig Brown and his wife, Diana, of Houston, Daniel Brown of San Antonio, Mary Martha Brown of The Woodlands, and Evelyn Brown of The Woodlands; and by one grandchild, Travis Brown, son of Craig and Diana Brown.

A graveside service will be held Friday, July 2, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, Ohio 45011, with Pastor Burton Stokes officiating. Friends and family may attend the service. Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing, Hamilton is in charge of arrangements.
