Reista Evelyn Flaherty, age 86 of Hamilton, passed away at Mercy Hospital Fairfield on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. Reista was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on March 19, 1931 to Howard Rollins and Hazel (Baker) Pringle. On October 9, 1948, she married the love of her life, James "Jim" Flaherty, who preceded her in death. Reista was a member of VFW Chuck Cain Post 7670 Ladies Auxillary and the New Miami Schools PTA for many years. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Reista is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth (Ernest) Bowman and JoAnn (Ron) Davis; her 7 grandchildren; many other loving great and great great-grandchildren; her sister, Dottie Overton; her lifelong friend, Thelma Fahrenback; and many other loving family members and friends.
Reista was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years; her son, James Flaherty Jr.; her siblings; and her parents.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Ron Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Burlington House, as well as, the staff of Mercy Hospital Fairfield Tower 4, 4th floor.
