Reta M. Hensley, age 68 of Trenton passed away at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at 6:10 AM. She was born on April 20, 1939 in East Bernstadt, Kentucky the daughter of Parker and Madeline (Hensley) Helton. Reta was employed as an assembler at Long/Lok Fasteners, retiring in 2001. She was a member of Norwood First Church of God, and served as the pastor’s wife there and at Trenton First Church of God. In 1956 in Hamilton, she married Paul Hensley.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Paul Hensley of Trenton; three sons, Paul Hensley Jr. of Hamilton, James Hensley, and Daniel Hensley, both of Trenton; four grandchildren, Heather Kerby, Carrie (Josh) Robinson, Sarah Hensley, and James "BJ" Hensley Jr.; four great-grandchildren, Jamie, Chad, Levi, and Regan; a brother, Herb Helton of Florida; and two sisters, Diane Fowler of Florida and Donna (Michael) Little of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Earl Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
