Retha Castle

Retha Castle, age 91 of Hamilton, passed away at Glen Meadows Nursing Home on Friday, August 11, 2023. Retha was born in Barbourville, Kentucky on May 1, 1932 to the late Farmer and Mae (Jones) Smallwood. Retha enjoyed cooking, gardening, and shopping. She especially enjoyed spending time with her dogs, but loved spending time with her family.

Retha is survived by her children, Wendell (Linda) Castle, Sam Castle, Jerry Castle, Brian Castle, and Linda Conley; her great-granddaughter, Ashley Castle; her sister, Blanche Hensley; her brothers, Harold Smallwood, John Smallwood, and Ted Smallwood; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Retha was preceded in death by her husband, Burchel Castle and her sister, Ruth Smallwood.

Graveside Services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, 1602 Greenwood Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 1:00 PM.
