Rev. Marvin N. Cann, age 91 of Hamilton, went home to be with his beloved Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 10, 2018. Marvin was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 6, 1927 to Clarence Cann and Olive (Lusk) Cann. He was in both World War II serving in the United States Navy from 1945-1946, and the Korean War serving in the United States Army from 1950-1952. He was also a boiler room operator for the Cincinnati Public Schools from 1953-1980. He was a licensed Minister with the Church of God, Cleveland Assembly, involved in Pastoral Ministry for 45 years. He was a current member of the Faith Pentecostal Church.
On November 22, 1952 in Covington, KY he married Patricia Mae Riley, and is survived by his wife of 66 years; he leaves behind his three daughters, Lisa (Steve) Munsey, Natalie (Rev. Rick) Witt, and Julie (Rev. LaVoy) Smith-Newton; five grandchildren, Brian Munsey and Fiancée Chrystal , Bethany (Greg) Feustel, Kaitlin Smith, Madison Smith, and Carl (Trey) Witt III; and one great grandchild, Louisa Josephine Feustel; and several loved nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Clarence Cann and Alan Cann.
Funeral service will be held at Princeton Pike Church of God, 6101 Princeton Glendale Road, Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Rick Witt and Rev. LaVoy Newton officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Princeton Pike Church of God. Memorial contributions can be made to Faith Pentecostal Church.
